Embodied Catholic Circles
A place for faith and the inner life to be in the same conversation.
Many of us discover that our inner world feels complex — thoughts, emotions, and old reactions pulling in different directions. Internal Family Systems offers a compassionate way of understanding that complexity. For those who live in relationship with God, this work tends to deepen prayer, compassion, and freedom in daily life.
Embodied Catholic Circles is our ongoing online community for Catholics who want their interior life and their nervous system to be in the same conversation.
Online community · Weekly content rhythm · Monthly live gathering · $15/month or $150/year
This is not a content library you scroll through and forget. It's a space to belong, to be known while you grow, and to practice presence — with yourself, with others, and with God.
This is for Catholics who are tired of living their faith mostly in their heads.
If you sense there is more — more presence, more freedom, more rootedness in God — and you want a place to pursue that alongside others who understand...
If you've been doing this inner work on your own and have been longing for a faith-integrated home for it...
If you think deeply, feel deeply, and desire to live faithfully...
This space was made with you in mind.
You don't need any background in psychology, therapy, or Internal Family Systems to belong here. You only need to be curious.
The body is not separate from the soul.
The contemplative tradition has always known this. Polyvagal-informed practice and Internal Family Systems simply give us current vocabulary for what spiritual writers have described for centuries.
At its heart, Embodied Catholic Circles is built around three things: embodiment, the integration of faith and inner life, and relational presence — with yourself, with others, and with God.
This is not a place to consume and disappear.
It's a space to practice presence, to be known while you grow, and to find community that supports real transformation, not just insight.
You'll find two kinds of posts inside: Foundations posts that walk through the core ideas of Internal Family Systems (parts, Self, protectors, exiles, burdens, somatic awareness), and Community posts that invite reflection, discussion, and embodied practice. Read quietly and reflect, or share and ask questions — you never need to share more than feels comfortable.
What you'll find once you join
The Foundations Library — ten pinned posts that walk new members through the core ideas of Internal Family Systems: parts, Self, protectors, exiles, blending, burdens, and somatic awareness. A small library you can return to anytime.
Monthly themes anchored to the liturgical calendar — for example, June's arc on The Self-Led Heart, built around the Sacred Heart of Jesus as the icon of self-leadership, and July's arc on Self in Ordinary Time, on what that looks like in daily life.

Looking for more structured, live formation as a helping professional? Pilgrims & Sojourners is the next layer in — a smaller, paid formation community for Catholic therapists, spiritual directors, coaches, and ministry leaders, and it includes full ECC membership as part of it.
FAQs
What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
1
IFS is a compassionate framework for understanding the different "parts" of our inner world — the ones that protect us, the ones that carry old pain, and the calm, wise center (called Self) that can lead them all with care. We hold it here alongside Catholic teaching, not instead of it.
Do I need a background in psychology or therapy to join?

Where does the community actually live?
How do I cancel?
No. This community is for any Catholic who is curious about the inner life, regardless of background. Come as you are.
Is this therapy or spiritual direction?
3
No. Embodied Catholic Circles is a formation community, not a clinical service. If you're looking for individual therapy or spiritual direction, we're glad to point you toward it separately.
Do I have to be a helping professional to belong here?
4
How is this different from Pilgrims & Sojourners?

7
No. That's the audience for Pilgrims & Sojourners, our deeper community for Catholic helping professionals. Embodied Catholic Circles is for anyone drawn to this work.
Embodied Catholic Circles is the foundation — the wider space where everyone gathers. Pilgrims & Sojourners is a smaller, more structured layer within it, built specifically for Catholic helping professionals who want live monthly accompaniment. When you join Pilgrims & Sojourners, you receive full access to Embodied Catholic Circles as well.

Embodied Catholic Circles is held by Marion Bean Moreland, a clinical therapist and IFS Clinical Supervisor whose work integrates Internal Family Systems with Catholic interior life. She founded Trinitas for people who spend their days holding space for others and rarely have anywhere to set it down themselves.
More presence. More freedom. More rootedness in God.
