Embodied Listening

Finding deeper connection to your whole system to allow for deeper attunement with God, neighbor and self.

Struggling to connect with others on a deeper level?

We can’t go with others where we haven’t gone ourselves.

The answer: Embodied Listening

Begin by healing yours own nervous system with somatic practices designed to help you connect with your

WHOLE HEART

WHOLE MIND

WHOLE BODY

Then you can love your neighbor AS yourself.

Connect with your GOOD God given body and the parts that use physical symptoms to communicate.

Deeper connection to your whole system allows for deeper attunement with God, neighbor & self.

God is attuned to us ~ how are you attuned to Him?

Embodied Listening is 6 weeks

We meet via Zoom Mondays at 7 PM Eastern

  • Start with a somatic exercise designed to help you connect with God through your body.

  • Then you will bear witness as Marion guides a fellow participant to go deeper in listening to the parts in their body.

    • Holding space as another goes deeper is a gift to that person but is also allows our parts to know they too can have a voice.

  • We will conclude our time by allowing you to speak for your parts.

The somatic exercise and witness parts work will be recorded. We will not record as participants are invited to speak for their parts.

Meet Your Somatic IFS Guides

Let us move together through the practicing of bodily attunement to unite us to Christ on His Cross. Our guides bring deep formation in Internal Family Systems (IFS), advanced training in Somatic IFS/body-based work, and a Catholic vision of the human person.

  • Marion is a licensed professional counselor and Certified Internal Family Systems therapist who integrates body-based practices with IFS to help you befriend parts and restore harmony in the nervous system. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling and teaches within the Catholic Christian Meta Model of the Person. Marion is licensed in WV, TN, FL, MI, and PA and is an Approved Clinical Supervisor. She has completed IFS Level 3, served as a Program Assistant for IFS trainings, and brings extensive field experience in trauma response through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.

This gentle, faith-centered Lenten experience offers:

  • 6 live weekly online sessions (Mondays, 7 PM Eastern: Feb 23 – March 30) led by experienced facilitators Kathryn and Marion.

  • Guided prayerful somatic exercises each week to connect with your God-given body through gentle awareness, movement, or stillness.

  • Witnessed Parts Work — A safe, compassionate space where one volunteer participant (your choice) explores their inner system deeply while the group holds loving witness; your own parts often stir and speak in resonance.

  • Structured sharing time to practice "speaking for" your parts — naming them and describing their messages, sensations, or reactions with curiosity (no storytelling or fixing required).

  • Gentle, real-time coaching from facilitators to support openness, keep sharing grounded, and honor your system's pace.

  • Private, supportive group environment limited in size for intimacy, safety, and meaningful connection.

  • Optional camera-off participation (except for volunteers during their witnessed session) — focus on your inner experience in comfort.

  • Preparation guidance for creating a suitable space (e.g., comfortable clothing, room to lie down or move, avoiding overly cozy spots).

  • Opportunity for deeper individual follow-up if parts arise that need private attention (facilitators available post-group).

  • A sacred Lenten framework weaving embodied prayer, Internal Family Systems-inspired listening, and communal witness to invite God's transforming love.

No prior experience required — just an open heart and willingness to show up. Registration includes all sessions and materials outlined above.
